PORTA PERUGIA - WINE & FOOD WALKS
COOKING, LUNCH & WALKING AT AN ORGANIC FARM NEAR LAKE TRASIMENO

Autumn in Umbria, this is the time of the year to be together, cooking pasta or gnocchi, have a lunch with excellent wine, and take a walk in the rolling Umbrian hills.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Join us for a day on Agricola Bittarelli, an authentic Umbrian family run farm, with over 80 years of experience in producing traditional Umbrian foods such as organic Trasimeno beans, olives and wine.
Together with Patrizia, our chef, we will prepare tagliatelli (pasta) or gnocchi with fresh ingredients, and a 'dolce' cake with farmhouse jams. We'll enjoy a four-course lunch (partly prepared by Patrizia, all ingredients km 0), followed by a walk in the Umbrian countryside.
OUR DAY

Arrival at the farm in Vaiano, a hamlet of Castiglione del Lago. (transport not included)
10.00-13.00 (approx.)
Together we'll prepare tagliatelle or gnocchi with stone-ground organic flour made from local Umbrian cereals, and a sauce to go with it. Patrizia will tell us about the Trasimeno beans and how to prepare the meat for the main course. For the dessert 'dolce' we will make a delicious pie with spelt flour and farmhouse jams.

We will enjoy the countryside and take a nice (not difficult) walk around the farm, along the fields and the animals.

We'll return from our walk, end of the programme. You can continue walking at the property on your own, or visit the farm shop with organic Trasimeno beans and other delicacies.

Languages Italian / English / Dutch, level of the cooking class is easy, everyone welcome. Please wear comfortable shoes for the walk.

Price Euro 125 per person (Children 4-12 years Euro 115), to be paid at the venue, bank card accepted.
The event will be organized on Thursdays.
Booking min. 5 pers. - max. 12 persons.
Please indicate any special dietary requirements when booking.
Chef Patrizia speaks Italian, Ester Andrina (owner of Porta Perugia) will be present to do the translation into English / Dutch.
This event is not wheelchair accessible.
