SAVE THE LAST DANCE FOR ME. An outdoor performance of the Bolognese dance 'Polka Chinata,' dating back to the early 1900s. This physically demanding courtship dance was originally performed by men. The performance was created in collaboration with Giancarlo Stagni, a master of Filuzziani dances, who revived the tradition by rediscovering videos from the 1960s. RITA MARCOTULLI, PIANO - AUTORITRA. Rita Marcotulli (b.1959) is an Italian jazz pianist and composer. In 1996 she duetted with Pat Metheny at the Sanremo Music Festival. She has had a long-term musical relationship with Dewey Redman. The concert is dedicated to Mario Guidi, manager and pioneer of Italian jazz, who passed away in 2019.
